I’m doing one of the most exciting thing of my life.
Planning a 2 month Europe-trip!
I have to admit, I always wanted to do that. My parents were
the „hippi” ones when they were at their early twenties, who were travelling
through Europe by train with one single backpack, carrying most of the food
they consumed and slept in parks and train stations. They inspired me, I found
their braveness and willingness to see admirable. I always wanted to follow
their route.
It didn’t happen though, until now. Okay, in the past year
I started to travel. I started to live the life I always wanted to. I consider
myself lucky cause I can do it, and also glad, that I started it. I wasn’t that
continuosly happy in my life as in this past 15 months. It's all about freedom,
gaining new experiences and learning a lot lot lot, while having fun. And in
the end, that is the main goal. To learn while enjoying it ;)
I started to write this very first blog entry in English
because of 3 reasons.
- I have plenty of international friends, most of them I met in the past year and they always asked me to make the blog also readable for them
- I’m currently in an English camp for students who are going for an exchange program to America – my mind just starts to work in English first :)
- The last, but not least: I’ll travel with someone, with whom I speak English :) I might introduce that person later. Or I just keep this little secret :)
So back to the topic, why I’m planning a Europe trip.
First a bit of background story. We decided to spend a bit of time together and we couldn’t
really agree on the details. Not the minor ones like what we will eat or where
we wanna meet – more like some bigger ones as when, where and for how long. So
now we just chatted a bit on this topic, our possibilities and wishes, and we
came up with the idea of making a longer trip. To Japan! With the Trans-siberian
railway. Cool, both of us wanted to do it. But the weather in autumn and
winter... But the money... it costs 600 EUR just one way, excluding food and
sightseeing at some stops, just the railway ticket. And we didn’t mention how
to get to Moscow... So yeah, its a no for now. We decided to postpone it, to a
period where both of us will have the time again, and also the monetary basis.
Than what can we do with the limited budget we (I) have?
Hitchhike! Camping! Having fun while travelling. As we already have a 6 week experience of travelling together, it was not a big deal to decide on it. He
came up with the idea to go to Asia – it would be really cool, that’s also on
my bucket list, I have to add it – and I came up with the excuses, as usual.
Let’s say it in a nicer way: with the rationality. To get all the vaccinations
it almost costs 300 EUR. Even if we are hitchhiking we need visa for some of
the countries. Again a lot of money. Although food is way more cheaper, we have
to prepare for unexpected situations... So finally we just agreed on postponing
this trip as well. To another time where I will have a more reliable source of
income.
So where to go now? He just came up with the idea of Europe.
Hah. So easy. And I always wanted to do that. We can start it whereever we
want. We have a lot of experiences of hitchhiking all over Europe. We even have
a lot of knowledge on the basic terms and expressions in most of the European
languages. Why not start with a comfortable but still challenging one? And if
in the end we run out of budget, we just go back home easily. Otherwise, we
plan it for two months.
Exciting, isn’t it? :))))

By the way, any notices, any recommendation on my English
writing is very welcomed. I know I gained a shitty English during the past
year, and I’m fine with it. Still, I want to improve back if it's possible. ;)
